Sedona AZ (August 22, 2016) – The Sedona Heritage Museum will partner with John V. Bezy for 3-day cultural tours of northwest Chihuahua, Mexico. The three-day trip to a non-tourist part of Mexico features a visit to the village of Mata Ortiz. The town is known for its ceramics which are a revival of the prehistoric Paquimé tradition. The air is often filled with the smoke from the many kilns.

All three attended class once a week from 8:30am to 5:30pm, which came out to 584 classroom hours.
Flagstaff AZ (August 20, 2016) – Fire managers on Coconino National Forest continue to use lightning-caused fires to benefit the landscape by allowing them to burn in confined areas.The fires will consume heavy fuel accumulation—dead vegetation on the forest floor—which will cultivate healthier wildlife habitat by breaking down dead underbrush and releasing nutrients into the soil so new vegetation can thrive.

Once again, the festival will host the productions via satellite at its Mary D. Fisher Theatre, 2030 W. Sedona AZ (August 18, 2016) – On Friday, August 26 at 5 pm the Pumphouse Poetry and Prose Project will present staged readings of two ten minute plays by local playwrights Mary Heyborne and Martha Entin. Musical entertainment will be provided by Devin Angelet and J.R. Robusto. Pumphouse Poetry and Prose events take place in Sedona on the southernmost end of the Creekside Plaza parking lot on the steps of the historic Hart Pumphouse beneath the shade of the giant sycamore trees.
