logo_sedonahubSedona AZ (August 22, 2016) – The Sedona Hub is excited to host the third event in its Street Arts Festival summer series! The Sedona Street Arts Festival returns on Saturday, August 27, 2016 from 1-6 p.m. at the Sedona Posse Grounds Hub and Skate Park, followed by a special evening fundraiser concert from 7-9 p.m. The Festival is FREE and open to the public, and tickets for the fundraising Concert are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.

On the heels of the initial festival in June and the second nighttime festival in July, the August Street Arts Festival again brings together the community in enjoyment and appreciation of the arts. Inspired by the idea to include a multitude of the arts in the community and celebrate the local youth, the Sedona Street Arts Festival #3 features more live art, live music, performances, skateboard competitions, and local food vendors.

Oncore Skate & Snow of Flagstaff returns to host another series of skateboard competitions at the Skate Park during the festival. Skateboarders are invited to bring their boards the day of the event to sign up for any competitions. All ages welcome, no registration necessary. Prizes will be awarded, and photos of previous skateboarders will be featured along the Skate Park wall!

Live music will accompany the competition and the afternoon’s events led by our partners,  musicians, and performers DJ Craig Eagle, Ben Steezy, and Gone Green Records. They will be joined by newcomer lady DJ Nichole Cea, returning singer-songwriter Sara Mireille, Cat & Mouse, and new to the festival singer August West, with a special appearance by Tony & Raul playing Mexico Lindo.

Live artists will include returning Alika Middleton, Eric Moorecroft, and Grace Kirkwood, and new artists Vince Ramey and Sharon Stelluto. This is a ‘view and do’ festival and you are invited to try your hand on the public mural wall and paint your own work on a little canvas.

Creative Snap Photo Booth with Linzey Bow will once again be offering costumes and opportunity to see yourself in a new light. Hula hoops will be available for anyone to use to play and dance to the music, and look for a special performance from Matt Hunsaker and friends on the “Stargate”!

The amazingly energetic and jaw-droppingly flexible hip-hop dancers The Sacred G’s will be back performing in the afternoon and offering two workshops the morning of Saturday, August 27th (for details, visit www.sedonahub.org).

Local vendors include Tamaliza and Java Love Cafe Coffee Roasters returning to provide food and drink during the festival. The festival is sponsored by Aloha Holistics, Rinzai’s, Moon Dog’s Pizza, ProBuild, Sedona Ace Hardware, and Sedona Giclée Gallery & Printer. The Sedona Street Arts Festival invites local businesses and individuals to also make a tax-deductible contribution to this free community event.

In addition to performing at the festival, hip-hop dancers The Sacred G’s will again host two dance workshop the morning of the festival on Saturday, August 27th at the Sedona Hub open to ages 10+. For more information and to let us that you are coming, contact the Sedona Hub at (928) 282-1660 or info@sedonahub.org.

Celebrate the end of summer in creative play and come out for the Sedona Street Arts Festival #3 at the Sedona Hub on Saturday, August 27, 2016 from 1 – 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to stay for the Fundraiser Concert following the event. Sedona, AZ — A cottage industry on steroids has erupted across the United States, fueled by the political firestorm around immigration and the logistical nightmare of enforcing it. President Donald Trump returned to power with the singular focus of cracking down on illegal immigration. The country is watching an old issue swell into an industrial-scale operation—an expensive, chaotic, and morally fraught machine that’s straining every gear in the federal system.
