Sedona AZ (February 8, 2018) – Working artists in the Verde Valley will be opening their private studios to the public for the weekend of April 27-29, 2018. Under the auspices of the Sedona Visual Artists’ Coalition (SVAC) is presenting this exciting self-guided event that is always free to the public. The Tour runs from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, April 27 and Saturday, April 28th and new this year, Sunday, April 29 the studios will be open from 12 to 5.

Sedona AZ (February 8, 2018) – Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona is holding the first ever Sedona Job Fair on Feb. 13, 2018 from 12 to 4 p.m. at the Yavapai College Sedona Center, located at 4215 Arts Village Drive RM34 in Sedona. The first hour will be early admission for veterans, individuals 55 or older and job seekers with disabilities. Chef Jen will be providing tours of the new culinary kitchens at the Sedona Center between 12-2 p.m.

Cottonwood AZ (February 7, 2018) – On Tuesday, February 6, at approximately 5:05 PM, the Verde Valley Fire District (VVFD) and Cottonwood Fire and Medical Department (CFMD) responded to a Working Wildland Fire at the 1300 block of Meadow Lane in Bridgeport.A VVFD Engine and Brush Truck was originally dispatched to a “bonfire” that seemed to be getting out of control. Sedona AZ (February 6, 2018) – In December of 2016, detectives were notified of possible sexual conduct with a minor involving 60-year-old Douglas Gilbert and his wife, 41-year-old Kimberly Korba. The couple is from Sedona and operates a chiropractic office in the Village of Oak Creek. Additionally, the couple claims to treat patients for ‘emotional clearing’ using muscle testing as part of the physiology of emotion.

Sedona AZ (February 6, 2018) – The Sedona Visual Artists’ Coalition (SVAC) announces it’s 2018 competitive scholarship program for graduating seniors from Sedona Red Rock High School (SRRHS), Verde Valley School, and Mingus High School. Applicants must have had a minimum of two semesters of high school art courses, and have plans to pursue higher education in the 2018-19 school year, anywhere in the United States, in any of the visual arts.
