As we slowly entered the far end of the water we saw a great blue heron perched on a rock near the shore and he was highlighted by a shaft of light that was passing through the forest canopy. Sedona Fire District (SFD) lifts fire restrictions previously in effect for all portions of the fire district effective July 28 at 6:00 pm.Sedona AZ (July 29, 2020) – Recent rains along with higher humidity, increased fuel moistures and the forecast for continuing monsoon activity have lowered, but not eliminated fire danger in the fire district. SFD encourages everyone to be responsible when working with or around fire. Sedona AZ (July 27, 2020) – After taking precautions to ensure the health and safety of city employees and patrons, beginning Monday, July 27, 2020, the Sedona Community Pool will reopen. For two weeks, the pool was closed due to two lifeguards being exposed to someone who had COVID-19. Both lifeguards were tested for COVID-19 and those tests came back negative.As a reminder, the pool has limited capacity for all programs.
