Comment period begins Sept. 18; public hearing to be held on Oct. 16Phoenix AZ (September 16, 2020) – The Arizona Department of Transportation will open an additional comment period for the revised 2021-2025 Tentative Five-Year Transportation Facilities Construction Program on Friday, Sept. 18. The additional comment period will extend through Tuesday, Oct. 27.The State Transportation Board will receive the newly revised Tentative Program during its monthly meeting on Sept. 18. Earlier this year, ADOT conducted its traditional process for the annual update to the Five-Year Program and held a public comment period and two public hearings.

Sedona AZ (September 16, 2020) – Starting Sept. 24, 2020, the city of Sedona’s Parks and Recreation Department will bring back Yappy Hour. It will be held Thursdays, 9 to 10 a.m., on the multi-use field in Posse Grounds Park.This is the opportunity for your four-legged friend to run and socialize with other dogs. Per city code and park rules, dogs are not allowed on the athletic fields and are required to be on a leash, but during Yappy Hour, participants get to bend those rules.
Sedona AZ (September 16, 2020) – Members of the Verde Valley Weavers and Spinners Guild will have their spinning wheels humming for “Monday at the Museum” at the Sedona Heritage Museum on September 28th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The spinners’ guild was formed over 35 years ago by Mary Pendleton of the Pendleton Weaving studio in Sedona along with a few weavers in the Verde Valley. Prescott AZ (September 14, 2020) – Arizona is experiencing a devastating increase of sellers and users of methamphetamine due to increased production of the drug and declining costs, according to a new report just released by the Arizona Substance Abuse Partnership (ASAP). Between 2015 to 2019, the retail price of meth decreased 58% while during the same period, federal, state, and local law enforcement saw a 342% increase in methamphetamine seizures.
