By Ted Grussing… before I had to put the camera down and totally focus on the landing I am about to make at Sedona, landing on runway 3, engine off. Left hand operates the stick and the right hand flaps and top of the wing spoilers (metal boards that lift up on the top of the wing and spoil the aerodynamic flow of air over the surface resulting in a high sink rate). The first 1700+ hours I flew before getting the motorglider in 2007, were all glider hours … no engine for go arounds, you got it right the…

As we have recommended several times in the past, a personal locator beacon (PLB) may be a lifesaver when you are in remote locations such as described in these cases. See https://www.sarsat.noaa.gov/emerbcns.html for details on emergency beacons and how they work. Additionally, carrying potential lifesaving supplies on a…

The proof he is unfit and poses a severe danger to our nation is enormous and irrefutable. Impeachment is a matter of time and an IF is only a vaporous prayer. The main problem is how to address the millions of good Americans who still think Trump is the best we have had and especially those who otherwise have a functioning brain and are genuine…

By Ted Grussing… and gold … I captured this image of seven Bluebirds as they were leaving their perch on a log that was embedded in a sheet of thin ice at Granite Lake, near Prescott, Arizona this past weekend. While the photograph alone was spectacular, the background needed a little help, so I spent a few hours this afternoon turning the image into photo art … the photographer unleashed from strict adherence to the image as presented in the original pixels of the raw file from the camera … now it is as seen through my lens, eyes and mind.
