… and gold … I captured this image of seven Bluebirds as they were leaving their perch on a log that was embedded in a sheet of thin ice at Granite Lake, near Prescott, Arizona this past weekend. While the photograph alone was spectacular, the background needed a little help, so I spent a few hours this afternoon turning the image into photo art … the photographer unleashed from strict adherence to the image as presented in the original pixels of the raw file from the camera … now it is as seen through my lens, eyes and mind.

I have this image featured on my website through February of 2021, at deeply discounted prices. A 30 x 20 inch print for $75.00 and a 24 x 16 inch print for $60.00. I also have the image available on satin finish metal prints ready to hang and again, these are at deeply discounted prices. When March arrives, the image will be put with the rest of the photographs in the portfolio at regular pricing.

It was a terrific day mostly spent working on photographs and beginning the deletion routine on the new shoots. Some odd projects accomplished and a couple more started … they never end.

Hoping your day was terrific and if not terrific at least okay … smile at those you meet and greet for life is wonderful and you get to live and share it every moment of every day.

    Cheers,

To-morrow I shall return to the human wheels; but now I defy the world of customs and laws, of sophistry and serfdom; and I yield myself childlike to the light and air and the sweet scented dew.

A bird flies through the sky, and I fly with it. I am in each pearl of moisture sparkling in the sun. I lie lazy on the clouds. And I acknowledge my kinship with each winged thing.

I see all as one, and nothing repels me, as this new day climbs noiselessly out of the valley of night.

Peace lies over the world and over the world of my soul.

    A Bad Moon Rising

    By Tommy Acosta
What the hell is going on? Is the fabric of society in the U.S. tearing apart at the seams? Watching those videos of teens gone wild, smashing windows, stealing from shopping centers, laughing while running over bicyclists — an omen of things to come? What can be done? Catch them? Incarcerate them. Put them in jails until they learn enough about crime to come out as skilled criminals? These kids, these young men and women of color, are growing wild in the streets. From fatherless homes, unable to properly read or write, a dismal and destitute future ahead of them. What is going to happen when they reach adulthood? The cops can’t stop them. There are simply too many. They can flash mob a phalanx of cops and just run berserk around them. What are the police to do? Shoot them? Read more→
