The frequency of natural disasters in recent months and the necessity of relief availability makes the case for preparedness, especially self-reliance and the need to try to adjust – for the people and society.
Food, shelter and other efforts immediately become important, even if budget is unable to cater to everyone and international aid is slight.
The future model is that there should already be some surplus in some part of society that can be reallocated without affecting the existing balance.
All countries have a number of staple meals. If the crops of 1 – 2 of those meals are extremely cheap, such that no matter the income level, any family can afford to buy comfortable quantities, it can become an angle to keep societies ready and help out [other nationals] when the unexpected happens.
This means a way to direct subsidies to agricultural necessities to ensure that 1 – 2 staple crops are absolutely cheap. Some agricultural necessities include seeds, pesticides, fertilizers, irrigation, transportation to market, land, storage, farm machinery among others.
If subsidies are directed to three or more among these, for selected crops, it could make them become so available, to at least have a key commodity in the country available to all, and as a principal step against unknowns.
To pay for the subsidy, it is proposed to explore food security insurance – where people buy premiums, which gets directed at the crops. To encourage people to buy the insurance, there could be an earlier win from a raffle for some, which will motivate a lot of subscriptions, but ultimately, everyone who purchased the insurance will be able to buy cheaper food stuff.
Simply, abundant food might mean agricultural subsidies. How do places achieve it? It is possible to have it through food security insurance, where they can buy premiums, which would be used to subsidize agricultural necessities in their countries.
Irrigation, pesticides, fertilizers, farm machinery, seeds, storage, land, and transportation to market are some of the major agricultural necessities globally. In many countries, they have a number of staple foods. If some subsidies are applied to 1 – 2 of the crops, it can guarantee that there will be food, almost at any low price or situation.
Now, to make almost everyone buy into the insurance, there could be an initial raffle win for some, while everyone else who didn’t win can use their insurance to buy some cheap crops.
So, to pool money to fund subsidies for some crops. An agri-tech startup can organize this. Coordinating the software, bringing a coalition that would include suppliers, deliveries, and others. It would even include some farmers, so that exports are possible to several places for some necessities.
This can be setup as early as September 8, 2026, to be available at a pilot before January, 2027, and then can scale. It can also become a way for U.S. farmers to find new international markets.
Also, rather than have the FAO and WFP react after the fact, it is possible to get ahead of whatever is ahead, preparing locations against eventualities.

“However, the US Geological Survey (USGS) later confirmed that the disaster was caused by a “glacial collapse” – when a glacier or part of a glacier disintegrates.”
“The impact of the collapsed glacier hitting the bottom of a valley was so powerful that it registered a magnitude of 5.2, according to the agency, causing “subsequent catastrophic impacts downstream.””

It would be great for the US to send NGO’s to Nepal to feed and aid their displaced. Unfortunately the most critical NGO’s in the US such as USAID were loudly and proudly destroyed by a chainsaw wielding Ketamine junky idiot and his crew of self acclaimed incels.
The entire planet is about to face a major food shortage crisis. Crops all over the world and right here in the US have been destroyed by war, drought, blight, invasive insects and plants, fire, flooding, heavy rains and other direct impacts of climate change.
Fuel and fertilizer prices have been, remain and will continue to be astronomical for some time to come, thanks to our “smarter than the generals” orange nincompoop POTUS starting an illegal war upon Iran that has but shipping under Iranian and Yemeni strangleholds. Couple this with the loss of critical crops on a global scale and you have a major crisis in the making.
Fascism, Hate and Violence are becoming normalized against the marginalized. War and rumors of war to come have the world on edge waiting for WWIII to begin in ernerst, expanding beyond the borders of Ukraine and Russia going on a Former Warsaw Pact land grabbing spree, North Korea nuking South Korea, Japan and the US, Iran using large yield long range ballistic missiles and hackers upon vital critical US facilities in the region, China attacking Taiwan and likely the Philippines using a Nazi Style Blitzkrieg attacks on each simultaneously while are military has been rendered impotent by the senseless war on Iran and unable to launch counterattacks. Iran and Yemen will continue to “hold all of the cards” as the Orange jackass once told a humble but great foreign leader, and they will effectively stop all US and Allied countries from getting a ship through either of their vital critical waterways.
We have a heavily gerrymandered election that strongly favors Democrats to win but have been and are being “rigged” (another Orange jackass term of nonsense) by MAGA SCOTUS judges and the current administrations legal apparatuses to ensure they do not win at any cost.
Think prices are high and the world seems in a death spiral now, wait until the combined effects of our global and domestic turmoil becomes WWIII and the lunatics in charge let slip the dogs of war on a global scale. The downtrodden, marginalized and desperate majority will begin to rise up against those who brought us all to this point in history. It’s not going to be pretty! In fact I believe you will see war and devastation like that in Ukraine and Gaza along with a smattering of low yield nukes being used in and upon most every nation on earth.
The far right around the world have organized (mostly thanks to Steve Bannon traveling around the world and making deals with them all).From the UK to France, Germany and sadly even Israel, the Nazi’s are itching to pull the trigger and get WWIII underway. Putin and Xi want the same and have the confidence they will win no matter how many of their citizens it kills.
The average American is ill prepared and ignorant to what is coming. Our Rambo movies and Tom Clancy video games have glorified the easy part of war (bombing countries from thousands of miles away) while ignoring the horrors war brings to everyone and everything in its wake. We show footage of war from afar and mass shooters preparing to kill innocent people but we don’t ever see the footage of the effects each of their rounds has upon a human body. We’re a naive brainwashed desensitized country.
What’s coming is going to wake up everyone who’s still sleeping under their security blankets!
