Yavapai County Sheriff's OfficePrescott AZ (January 13, 2021) – It’s day 13 of Yavapai Silent Witness’ CATCH 22 Program.  Today Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help in locating fugitive Aron Jose Bermudez-Felix.

On August 6, 2018, Bermudez got into an argument with the victim, his girlfriend.  Bermudez then slapped the victim and struck her with a closed fist in the face.  He then threw the victim on the bed while she held their 1-year-old baby. Bermudez then threw the victim on the ground and kicked her in the ribs.  The victim began to scream for help and Bermudez started strangling her to keep her quiet.  He also stuffed a sock in her mouth to get her to stop screaming.

The victim was able to escape and get to a friend’s residence, but Bermudez was there waiting for her when she arrived.  He grabbed the victim by her arm and shoulders and attempted to make the victim leave with him.  When a witness began to call the police, Bermudez fled.

Bermudez currently has a Nationwide extraditable Probation Violation Warrant.  He is described as a 23-year-old white male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 200 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.  He has tattoos on his right forearm.  His last known address was in the 3600 block of East Maricopa in Cottonwood.

Anyone providing information leading to Bermudez-Felix’s arrest could be eligible for a $500 cash reward.  To earn your reward, you must call Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232 or submit a tip at yavapaisw.com.  Remember, all tips are always anonymous.  You never have to give your name.

    A Bad Moon Rising

    By Tommy Acosta
What the hell is going on? Is the fabric of society in the U.S. tearing apart at the seams? Watching those videos of teens gone wild, smashing windows, stealing from shopping centers, laughing while running over bicyclists — an omen of things to come? What can be done? Catch them? Incarcerate them. Put them in jails until they learn enough about crime to come out as skilled criminals? These kids, these young men and women of color, are growing wild in the streets. From fatherless homes, unable to properly read or write, a dismal and destitute future ahead of them. What is going to happen when they reach adulthood? The cops can’t stop them. There are simply too many. They can flash mob a phalanx of cops and just run berserk around them. What are the police to do? Shoot them? Read more→
