Sedona AZ (March 6, 2012) – Over the past four days, Sedona Police Department has received reports of four residential burglaries: Garnet Hill Drive, Zane Grey Drive, Badger Drive and Morgan Road. Entry was gained through a rear door and the homeowner’s luggage or similar container was used to take items out of the home. Items taken from these homes included jewelry and portable safes with personal papers. Sedona Police Detectives are conducting follow up investigation on these crimes to develop leads to assist in identifying the person(s) involved in committing these offenses. Sedona AZ (March 5, 2012) – SAGA Founding Member, Csaba Mártonyi, won Best of Show in the Intermediate Class at the 23rd Desert Woodcarving Show at a statewide competition held in Mesa, Arizona on February 17-19. His carving, Spring II, competed in a field of 204 entries to win two subcategory first place awards on its way to the top award. Having won this award, he must compete in the Advanced Class in the future.

Sedona AZ (March 5, 2012) – Talk about the luck of the Irish! The day was beautiful right from the start and the sun shone bright and warm from start to finish. In the early morning, up to 1000 people headed up to Jordan Historical Park with their entries to form the St. Patrick’s Parade and about 100 volunteers spread out along the parade route and headed to Sacajawea Plaza & BR Clinic parking lots to get everything readied for the Festival immediately following the Parade.
Sedona AZ (March 3, 2012) – Two popular recreation sites on the Red Rock Ranger District will be temporarily closed March 12 & 13 to allow for reconstruction work to take place. First, the Jim Thompson and Jordon Trailhead will be closed March 12-13. This 48-hour closure will allow for the installation of a drainage culvert at the entrance to the trailhead. Installation of the drainage culvert will help to reduce soil erosion and to enhance the area for continued public enjoyment.

One North American Black Bear gave birth to three cubs that range in color from cinnamon to chocolate brown. Williams AZ (March 1, 2012) – Bearizona Wildlife Park Chief Executive Officer, Sean Casey, announced the arrival of triplet bear cubs, which were born this January at the Williams, Arizona Wildlife Park. The cubs range in color from cinnamon, to dark chocolate brown. In the wild, eastern black bears are typically very dark black.
