Artists are invited to submit a portfolio representing their work that will be reviewed by a jury for the purpose of being represented in the Sedona Arts Centers’ Fine Art Gallery.
Sedona AZ (June 12, 2014) – The City of Sedona is seeking volunteers to fill 4,000 sandbags in preparation for potential flooding this monsoon season, as a result of the Slide Fire. Sandbag Central will take place on Friday and Saturday, June 20 and 21, 2014, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the City’s Maintenance Yard located at 2070 Contractors Road, west of Coffee Pot Drive. Parking is limited at the yard, but overflow parking is available across the street in the south central parking area at the Bashas’ shopping center.

Sedona is a beautiful location to be outdoors, and this series will take you up and down dirt and paved trails through scenic Posse Grounds Park.

It is important to sign up for both the City and a county, as there may be emergency notifications sent by the City that are not a county issue and vice versa.
Sedona AZ (June 10, 2014) – In celebration of National Get Outdoors Day, the Red Rock Ranger District will waive day-use fees on Saturday, June 14. All Red Rock Pass fee program sites will be free including Palatki, Honanki, V Bar V cultural sites, and Encinoso picnic area. Areas not included in the fee waiver program are campgrounds and recreation sites managed under concession contract, including Grasshopper Point and Crescent Moon Ranch. West Fork of Oak Creek Trail/Call of the Canyon remains closed due to the recent Slide Fire.

Production from Stratford-Upon-Avon makes big-screen debut at Mary D. Fisher Theatre Sedona AZ (June 8, 2014) – The Royal Shakespeare Company’s extraordinary production of “Henry IV – Part 1” makes its Sedona big-screen debut on Sunday, June 22. The Sedona International Film Festival hosts the high-definition premiere of William Shakespeare’s renowned play from its home in Stratford-Upon-Avon. There will be one show at 2 p.m. at the festival’s Mary D. Fisher Theatre.
