    YCSO Seeking Cornville Burglary Suspect

    Cornville AZ (May 18, 2018) – UPDATE – Lucio Garcia was arrested May 17, 2018 on a charge of Burglary when he arrived at the Sheriff’s Office in Camp Verde to update his sex offender registration.

    Cornville AZ (February 16, 2018) – On February 14, 2018, around 3:00 pm, YCSO Deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of South Page Springs Road, Cornville, regarding a report of a resident and her small children arriving home and finding a male subject in the yard. It was discovered the male subject had broken into the home and stolen a television from inside. The male subject fled the area in a SUV prior to the Deputies arrival.

    20180216_luciogarciaDeputies were able to identify the male as 32-year-old Lucio Andrew Garcia of Camp Verde. Deputies were able to locate Garcia’s vehicle at his home in the 3100 block of North Cherry Lane, Camp Verde. The television that was stolen was also recovered at the home. Garcia has not been located.

    Garcia is a male, black hair, brown eyes, about 5’ 11” tall, 200 pounds. He is also a registered level 3 sex offender. See: http://www.icrimewatch.net/offenderdetails.php?OfndrID=2217468&AgencyID=54056

    YCSO is asking for the public’s help in locating Lucio Garcia. Charges will include Burglary, Theft, Criminal Trespass and Criminal Damage.

    If you have any information on the suspect’s whereabouts, please call the Sheriff’s Office immediately at 928-771-3260. Anonymous calls can be made to Yavapai Silent Witness at 1800-932-3232. If a direct tip to Silent Witness leads to an arrest, the caller becomes eligible for a cash reward.

    Don’t mess with symbols. Just ask author Dan Brown’s character Robert Landon. The worth of symbols cannot be measured. Symbols make the world-go-round. Symbols carry the weight of a thousand words and meanings. Symbols represent reality boiled down to the bone. Symbols evoke profound emotions and memories—at a very primal level of our being—often without our making rational or conscious connections. They fuel our imagination. Symbols enable us to access aspects of our existence that cannot be accessed in any other way. Symbols are used in all facets of human endeavor. One can only feel sorry for those who cannot comprehend the government’s response to the breech of the capital on January 6, with many, even pundits, claiming it was only a peaceful occupation. Regardless if one sees January 6 as a full-scale riot/insurrection or simply patriotic Americans demonstrating as is their right, the fact is the individuals involved went against a symbol, and this could not be allowed or go unpunished.
