Neishabori met Basnet when Waiting for Mamu debuted at the 2014 Sedona Film Festival. Cottonwood AZ (May 5, 2015) – On Wednesday, May 20th at 10:30 a.m., there will be a presentation discussing the progress of the ADEQ-funded Water Quality Improvement Grant for the Settlers Rest stormwater project based out of Sedona. The Oak Creek Watershed Council’s Marie McCormick and Ryan Matson will present as part of the Verde River Basin Partnership’s (Partnership) ongoing monthly educational program series for the public. Sedona AZ (May 5, 2015) – The City of Sedona Community Development Department is requesting public comment on the Storm Water Quality Management Program. The Program affects the entire City, including construction sites, existing developments, government agencies, and activities by residents or tourists that may result in water pollution. The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) requires the Program document, which is a plan identifying steps the City will take to enhance the quality of storm water draining from its stormwater system. The plan does not deal with the volume of water the system handles.

Joanna Giles, CEO of HOG Heaven Charity Foundation has been helping children and schools in Nepal from Sedona for the past 18 years. She knows what it takes to get funds to the people through her direct contacts. The government of Nepal is overwhelmed and even Red Cross efforts have been slow in providing basic aid to thousands left homeless after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck more than a week ago.

I took this shot of some Moon Jelly fish about six years ago whilst on a tour of the Aquarium of the Bay, at the edge of Pier 39 in the Embarcadero area. The aquarium is owned and operated by the Bay Institute which is doing a remarkable job in protecting, restoring and inspiring the conservation of the San Francisco Bay.
