Sedona AZ (July 19, 2016) – Never one to rest on his laurels, Ken Rowe will once again participate in the esteemed Society of Animal Artists’ annual exhibition, which happens Sept. 23 through Jan. 1, 2017 at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Ken’s bronze elk bust titled Nobility was selected for the 56th annual exhibit. The sculpture was also chosen for the society’s Art and the Animal Tour, which begins Jan. 21, 2017 at the Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum in New Jersey.

Sedona AZ (July 19, 2016) – As a prelude to its 2016 Forum on education, the Verde Valley Forum for Public Affairs will conduct a “Future Leaders” Forum for Verde Valley students. The participants will analyze education and current educational services in this region. The future Leaders Forum will be held at the Clarkdale campus of Yavapai College on Thursday, August 18, from 9:30 to 11:30 am. Invitations are being extended to students of Yavapai College and Verde Valley high schools, and more than 60 are expected to attend.

About a 6 kt quartering tail wind and a nice landing about two thirds of the way down the runway … sometimes I get it so I can roll up to my shade without re-starting the engine.

By Ted Grussing… my favorite views are to the north because of the wildly beautiful alien features of the Colorado Plateau and environs … there has been way too much smoke to permit anything resembling beauty lately, but today there was an opening directly to the north of the peaks where it wasn’t too bad, so I spent some time this morning shooting the peaks mostly from the south … maybe a mile and at 12,800’. McGuireville AZ (July 15, 2016) – On July 13, 2016, at approximately 11:45 PM, a brown 1975 Chevy pick-up was parked at the McGuireville Mini-Mart gas pumps located in the 2100 block of E Beaver Creek Road, McGuireville. Sedona AZ (July 15, 2016) – On Thursday, June 30, 2016, the city of Sedona proudly presented the Employee of Year Award to Police Sgt. Stephanie Foley as part of the annual employee recognition event held at Sedona City Hall. Starting in February 2016, Sgt. Foley was promoted to Police Sergeant after being a Police Officer for the Sedona Police Department since 2005. Sedona AZ (July 14, 2016) – On June 28, 2016, the Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking Task Force (P.A.N.T.), in coordination with the Camp Verde Marshal’s Office (CVMO), conducted a traffic stop on a 2013 Ford Pick-Up truck after officer’s witnessed the vehicle commit multiple traffic violations. The Ford was being driven in the late evening hours by 35 year-old Cory Lynn White of the Verde Villages, and her passenger, 51 year-old Bryan Todd Ritter of Cornville.
