Plan promotes safety for families, motorists and ADOT personnelVerde Valley AZ (August 30, 2016) – Recognizing the need of families to grieve in different ways for those killed in crashes, the Arizona Department of Transportation has established a policy allowing memorial markers along state-maintained highways in a way that minimizes risks for motorists, families and ADOT personnel.Developed with input from community members, the policy specifies a maximum size and establishes standards for materials and placement so markers present less chance of distracting passing drivers or damaging vehicles leaving the roadway.

Camp Verde AZ (August 29, 2016) – Cedric Nye of Camp Verde Rope & Gear is running for the Verde Valley Humane Society on Saturday, September 24th and is kindly donating all proceeds to the VVHS.  The run is named after his friend Ian McClellan’s late dog Riff Raff.Ced’s goal is a minimum of 10 miles and he plans to start in downtown Camp Verde, head down Main Street, out to Finnie Flat Road to 260, and then out toward Clear Creek.  Ced will be videoing this run so you can enjoy it from wherever you are.
