Sedona AZ (January 16, 2017) – The Sedona Visual Artists’ Coalition (SVAC) is offering two scholarship grants in the amount of $1,000 each, to graduating seniors from Sedona Red Rock High School (SRRHS), Mingus Union High School (MUHS) and/or Verde Valley School (VVS) this spring. Applicants must have had a minimum of two semesters of high school art courses, and have plans to pursue higher education in the 2017-18 school year, anywhere in the United States, in any of the visual arts. The scholarships are available for two-year, and four-year colleges and universities, as well as vocational and technical schools.

Tactical Team used to Secure Cottonwood ResidenceCottonwood AZ (January 14, 2017) – Over the past month, Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking (P.A.N.T.) Detectives began receiving information about a particular residence in Cottonwood reported to be involved in the possession, use, and sale of methamphetamine and heroin. The investigation surrounded a residence located in the 1700 block of East Arroyo Seco in Cottonwood, Arizona.
Cornville AZ (January 14, 2017) – On January 13th at approx. 3:20pm, Verde Valley Fire District crews, along with crews from Cottonwood Fire Department, Verde Valley Ambulance Company, and Sedona Fire District, responded to 10000 block of E. Storey Drive in Cornville for a report of a structure fire.

I didn’t think any more about them until I uploaded the images from the card tonight … I love cat eyes as they are so brilliant and was surprised to see her eyes like this … not sure what it is, but believe the angles were such that she picked up a reflection of the rocks…

Although the Personnel Board does not typically meet very often, it plays a crucial role as an advisory board to the City Manager for matters involving the dismissal, demotion or suspension without pay of employees.
