Sedona AZ (November 1, 2017) – The Giving Angels has started collecting donations to give more than 600 seniors holiday gifts with the generous help of donors from Sedona, Cottonwood and the Verde Valley. The charity provides gifts to independent, low-income seniors in the Verde Valley.Donation boxes will be at community locations November 1st through December 7th. Donations being sought include, unscented lotion, notecards, stamps, kitchen towels, dishcloths, pot holders, game books, and large-print books. It is requested that items be new.
Camp Verde AZ (November 1, 2017) – Camp Verde Community Library announces the next Music in the Stacks, a free monthly concert series, which will take place on Thursday, November 9th at 5:30 pm in the library’s Fireside Room. Cornville AZ (November 1, 2017) – Unfortunately, the ‘jury duty’ scam continues to impact Yavapai County residents and calls have been especially heavy over the last 2 weeks. The scam involves a suspect who calls unwitting victims and advises that a warrant has been issued for their arrest because of missed jury duty. In a majority of the incidents reported, the caller/suspect has identified himself as an employee of the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office or just Sheriff’s Office. Many who receive such calls are aware of the scam and simply hang up.

Prescott AZ (October 31, 2017) – The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office was recently awarded grants totaling in excess of $41,000 from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS).
