By Darcy Hitchcock, Sustainability AllianceSedona AZ (January 26, 2018) – At the Sustainability Alliance, we think about sustainability as the 3P’s: People, Planet and Prosperity. Often people are confused about the social and economic piece. They think of sustainability as predominately environmental. It’s certainly true that our society is wholly dependent upon nature, our economy is a “wholly-owned subsidiary of Nature,” as Ray Anderson, the visionary owner of Interface, liked to say. It’s probably most accurate to see these as concentric circles, with Environment the largest, then Society and then our Economy as a subset of our economy.

By Ted Grussing… going through some photos from last summer I came on this shot of a member of the local Gang of Crows going vertical over the 11th tee box of Oak Creek Country Club; easy shot for me to get since I was sitting on the bench on my deck whilst I enjoyed the antics of the various crows that have taken over our neighborhood.
