Sedona AZ (March 27, 2020) – Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) of Sedona•Verde Valley has announced the cancellation of classes for the 2020 Spring Term (from April 13 to May 21). No OLLI classes will be held at the YC Verde Valley Campus or the YC Sedona Center until further notice.OLLI Sedona•Verde Valley offers academic, not-for-credit programming designed for adults aged 50 years and older at Yavapai College sites in Sedona and the Verde Valley. VVCC has established and implemented COVID-19 safety protcols for volunteers, neighbors (clients), and staff.VVCC’s Call Center is screening neighbors and volunteers for flu-like and COVID-19 symptoms before taking and booking service requests.“We are doing everything we can to protect our volunteers and neighbors. Sedona AZ (March 26, 2020) – The Arizona Community Foundation has established the Sedona/Verde Valley COVID-19 Community Response Fund to support local nonprofits as they assist in responding to the pandemic. “Based on the requests for funding we have already received  and the impact this crisis is having on our community, we estimate that a minimum of $300,000 is needed to satisfy local critical care needs for the next 30-45 days,” said Jennifer Perry, ACF Regional Director. “We anticipate this number to grow significantly as the demand for the services of nonprofits increases and local volunteers are unable to help.”
