Indecent Exposure Violation also noted Prescott AZ (May 28, 2020) – Over this past Memorial Day weekend, the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deployed a DUI enforcement detail with 10 deputies prioritizing such enforcement. This resulted in 49 traffic stops and deputies noted 21 designated sober drivers and arrested 8 DUI drivers. There were 1 aggravated DUI, 4 misdemeanor DUI’s, 2 extreme DUI’s, and 1 drug related DUI. The average breath alcohol level was .155., almost twice the legal limit.

We’re entering the quiet time of year now with the migrating birds already gone … the reverse of the weekend population of Sedona. It was nice for a while during the shut down of life and traffic levels at agreeable levels like when we moved here full time in 1992. Now the lock down is self imposed 🙂

Prescott AZ (May 27, 2020) – Up to 50 foster children healing from trauma and supported by foster-care agencies in Yavapai County can participate in Catholic Charities Community Services first annual free Summer Day Camp from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. from June 22-24.The camp is open to past or present foster children ages 5-17 who have been identified as having high behavioral health needs because of trauma. Children can be referred by any foster-care licensing agency, Department of Children’s Services or family or behavioral health agency.
By Ted Grussing… our Argentine giant cactus bloomed a couple of days ago and the blooms were especially beautiful this year. They began opening up late afternoon and continued all night … the next morning they still showed a lot of beauty, but by mid-day they were closing and last night closed and wilting. The blooms are at their peak at night and serve as a magnet for the bats and moths that pollinate them … what creature could resist beauty like this … none.
