Clarkdale AZ (July 14, 2020) – It’s day 14 of Yavapai Silent Witness’ Catch 22 Program.  Today the Clarkdale police are asking for help in locating John Gregory Lukasik. In 2010 Lukasik took sexually explicit photographs and video recordings of two separate victims and displayed them on the internet on multiple sites.  Most of the photos and recordings were taken without the victims’ consent and all were posted without the victims’ consent.  He was also found in possession of marijuana, possessed the equipment for propagating marijuana, and possessed a firearm in the commission of a felony.  In addition, Lukasik repeatedly harassed…

Early Saturday morning I headed down to the ponds to get some waterfowl, predator or whatever type shots. On the path between the the ponds I saw some beautiful Datura blooms brilliantly illuminated by the morning sun and a honey bee collecting food for the colony … so I took a few shots and liked this photo better than anything else I shot that morning. Majority of Respondents Did Not Offer Such Training Before This Year Phoenix AZ (July 13, 2020) – A recent survey to gauge organizational equity by the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits shows that a majority (64.52%) of responding organizations plan to administer trainings or programs with an emphasis on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Access (IDEA) after having not offered similar trainings or programs before this year. Prescott AZ (July 11, 2020) – It’s day 11 of Yavapai Silent Witness’ Catch 22 Program.  Today Yavapai County Law Enforcement needs your help finding Tyrell Edison Manakaja.  On January 5, 2015, Arizona Department of Public Safety received reports that a vehicle was brake checking other vehicles, driving erratically and actually ran another vehicle off the road.  An officer contacted Manakaja who was operating the vehicle in the area of Milepost 118 on Interstate 40 near Seligman.  Upon investigation it was determined, Manakaja was under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested.  Manakaja was found to have a blood alcohol…

Cottonwood AZ (July 10, 2020) – On Thursday July 9, 2020, at approximately 9:30 PM, the Verde Valley Fire District responded to the report of a residential assignment in the 700 block of Desert Jewel Dr.VVFD was originally dispatched to the report of a vehicle, trailer, and possibly a house on fire. On arrival crews deployed hand lines to the vehicle in order to control the fire’s spread. The fire was contained to just the vehicle and trailer with minimal heat damage to the home.

Sedona AZ (July 10, 2020) – Arizona Governor Doug Ducey mandated in an Executive Order, that beginning at 10 p.m. on July 11, 2020 and until further notice, restaurants must reduce inside dining to less than 50 percent of the permitted fire code capacity.Additionally: Restaurants must ensure at least six feet of separation between tables and parties at all times, including while waiting to be seated. Restaurant staff are not counted in the occupancy limit. All buffets and self-serve food bars must be closed.

Cottonwood AZ (July 10, 2020) -Today the Cottonwood Police Department is looking for Traci Ann Koelzer on Fraud charges.  In the latter part of April 2018, Cottonwood detectives investigated an incident involving the Old Town Association (OTA). During the investigation, detectives learned 50-year-old, Traci Ann Koelzer was the Treasurer for the OTA and defrauded the organization of more than one hundred thousand dollars.  Koelzer became aware of her charges and is believed to have left the Cottonwood area.
