Sedona AZ (February 5, 2013) –Sedona’s Studio Live hosts a poetry slam Saturday, Feb. 16, starting at 7:30 p.m. featuring Phoenix poet Jeremiah Blue and hosted by Sedona poet Christopher Fox Graham. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 the day of the performance, doors open at 7:00 pm. All poets are welcome to compete for the $75 grand prize and $25 second-place prize. Sedona AZ (February 5, 2013) – The City of Sedona is accepting applications to fill two vacancies on the Board of Adjustment.  The term of service for these voluntary positions is three years.  The terms begin on January 1, 2013 and end on December 31, 2016.  The Board of Adjustment conducts hearings regarding requests for variances from the Sedona Land Development Code applicable to zoning regulations and hears appeals regarding interpretations made by the zoning administrator.

Free Chinese Medicine Education Day Helps Build Community Awareness at the West Sedona Public Library Sedona AZ (February 3, 2013) – The Sedona/Verde Valley Acupuncture Council sponsored a free event for the public at the West Sedona Public Library, (3250 White Bear Rd. Sedona, AZ 86336). The Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Education day was held Saturday, January 26th from 1pm-4pm and attracted over 100 curious locals and non-locals alike, in spite of the heavy rainfall. Out of those treated, most were from the Verde Valley area, but some were visiting from other areas of the country.

Sedona AZ (February 2, 2013) – This morning, a record number of participants raced through the beautiful red rocks for the 8th Annual Sedona Marathon Event. Last year winner Brian Tinder of Flagstaff, Arizona took an early lead and finished the Sedona Marathon in first place with a time of 2:49:21, setting a new course record! Gary Krugger from Flagstaff, Arizona came in second place with a time of 2:54:24 followed by Steve Geertgens with a time of 3:12:20 from Seattle, Washington.
