Sedona AZ (March 18, 2013) – The West Sedona School PTA is proud to host this year’s Mexican Fiesta Dinner at the Elks Lodge on Wednesday, March 20th from 5:00 to 7:30pm. This dinner is the main fundraising event for the West Sedona School 6th-grade trip to Camp Colton in May. This event is open to the public and parking is free. Sedona AZ (March 14, 2013) – Shortly after 10:00 pm on Wednesday, March 13, the Sedona Fire District responded to a working gazebo fire at the Briar Patch Inn –located in Oak Creek Canyon. Sedona AZ (March 14, 2013) – The Sedona Heritage Museum will host a book-signing for author Carolina Butler on Saturday, March 23rd from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Museum. Butler’s new book, “Oral History of the Yavapai”, is a history from the Indians’ point of view in the words and the feelings of the Yavapai themselves. It is based on interviews of two Yavapai tribal elders, Mike Harrison and John Williams, both now deceased. It took almost 30 years from their interviews to this publication becoming a reality.

Sedona AZ (March 14, 2013) – Camp Soaring Eagle is proud to announce that they have under-gone a re-organization and opened an additional office in Scottsdale, AZ. These changes are made in an effort to expand their reach and serve more of the 125,000 children currently suffering with serious illnesses in the state of Arizona. Camp Soaring Eagle is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that provides medically supervised camping programs for children suffering with chronic and life threatening illnesses. Camp is completely free of charge to the campers and families and funded through charitable donations.
