The Red Rock Ranger District of the Coconino NF proposes to stabilize the bank of Oak Creek immediately adjacent to the Cave Springs Campground road, which includes a bank section that is being undercut and is now susceptible to collapse.

Climbing lane project requires nightly closure between 11:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. Camp Verde AZ (February 18, 2014) – Late-night drivers traveling between Phoenix and Flagstaff tonight need to plan ahead or allow extra travel time as the Arizona Department of Transportation continues work on building a climbing lane on southbound Interstate 17 south of Camp Verde (mileposts 280-282). The construction of the two-mile-long climbing lane near the top of Copper Canyon Hill will require a one-hour closure in both directions on I-17 tonight as crews prepare for blasting rock cuts along the highway.

Sedona AZ (February 17, 2014) – On Saturday, March 1 Sedona will experience a bit of World War II history when a B-25BJ Mitchell bomber arrives for a one day visit. The aircraft is participating in an historic “war-bird” fly-in in Phoenix that weekend along with a variety of military trainer type aircraft, such as T-34’s and T-6’s which will also fly into Sedona.
