Cottonwood AZ (April 23, 2014) – State Route 89A in Cottonwood between 12th and Main streets (milepost 352) will be closed for up to 15 minutes between 3 a.m. and 3:15 a.m. Thursday, April 24. The closure will provide a safe work zone as crews place overhead utility lines across the roadway.
Sedona AZ (April 23, 2014) – On May 5, 2014, work will begin in preparation for a pavement project in the area of Mystic Hills Subdivision, and Chapel Road, to the east of SR 179. The work will include pavement replacement in these areas and adding bike lanes to Chapel Road between SR 179 and the east end of the Mystic Hills Subdivision.
Highway to be narrowed to one lane in each direction during work hours Cottonwood AZ (UDPATE – April 22, 2014) – The Arizona Department of Transportation will perform maintenance work Wednesday night (not Tuesday night as previously mentioned) to improve a two-mile section of State Route 260 between Cottonwood and Camp Verde. SR 260 will be narrowed to one lane between Thousand Trails Road and Coury Drive (mileposts 211 to 212) from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday, April 23.
Sedona AZ (April 22, 2014) – Just after 3AM on April 20, 2014, YCSO deputies were called to the 1400 block of Verde Valley School Road regarding a hit and run accident. The reporting party told deputies that after hearing screeching tires and a loud crashing sound, he went outside and found extensive damage to a concrete wall, mailboxes, and landscaping on both his and his neighbors property.
