logo_marketplaceSedona AZ (April 24, 2014) – Marketplace Café, in the Village of Oak Creek, continues its mission of giving to the community, and is recognized as a business that generously supports local artists and charities.  On Tuesday, April 29th, the public is invited to celebrate these activities and get to know the artists involved via a “Meet the Artists” reception in the venue.  The reception will take place from 6-7 PM.  There will be a raffle of several artists’ works in which 100% will be donated to the local charity.  You do NOT have to be present to win.

Many of the artists will be present to show their newest works and to converse with visitors and residents about their art.  At any given time, works from over a dozen local artists are on display in the venue, and 15% of all resulting art sales is donated to a selected non-profit in the area. Marketplace Café takes no commission on the sales of art; it is a community initiative for MPC and owner, Ken Rouse.

As an added visual experience, there will be a brand new video showing several images of each of the artists now at MPC, images that showcase more of their works. This production has been created by one of the artists, William (Bill) Belvin specifically for Marketplace Café. Artist Jim Peterson assisted with coordination of the project.

20140424_DUO-VORTEXRaffle tickets are now on sale at MPC for $10 each / 3 for $25 or 7 for $50.  Tickets will be on sale throughout the Tuesday event.  The art work for the raffle is offered from a variety of the artists; the value of each piece will range from $50 to $500.  The current charity is Gardens for Humanity, specifically for the project at Sedona Winds Senior facility.  Several of the artists will offer special pricing on their own work during the evening, with an even greater percentage going to the charity.

Food and drink service will be available from the venue’s excellent and diverse menu. Happy hour is 4-6 pm, and all drinks are half price.

Marketplace Café is located in the Sedona Village Factory Outlet Mall in the Village of Oak Creek at 6645 South Highway 179, suite C-7.  For more information, visit www.mpcsedona.com or call 928-284-5478.  Reservations are strongly recommended.
