Sedona AZ (May 1, 2014) – The streets in Sedona will be striped starting Thursday, May 1 through Saturday, May 10, 2014, barring weather conditions and material delays. Most of the work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., but there will be some work done starting at 6:00 p.m. and continuing until dawn. Prescott AZ (April 30, 2014) – The Yavapai Reentry Program (YRP) will be hosting another Community Coach training on May 23, 2014 from 9:30 AM-3:30 PM at the Community Counts office in Prescott. The program started in July 2011 and began delivering direct services in January of 2012. Since then the program has assisted nearly 75 individuals returning to Yavapai County from state prison facilities. Many participants have young children and experience an array of obstacles as they seek to find employment, complete education programs and transition back into the community. Sedona AZ (April 30, 2014) – On Saturday, May 3rd, the public is encouraged to attend an event of astronomical proportions!  From 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., telescopes will be set up providing an opportunity for visitors to experience solar gazing.  Then, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the theater, Astronomers of Verde Valley deliver a presentation on astronomy.  Finally, from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., telescopes will be available for stargazing.

Verde Valley AZ (April 30, 2014) – RIMROCK – Vandalism – On April 23, 2014, YCSO deputies were called to the 4300 block of Cliffside Trail, Rimrock, regarding a vandalism complaint. A property management company representative told deputies that suspect(s) unknown forcibly entered the unoccupied home damaging every wall and surface in every room with heavy paint splatter. Inside the house, deputies found indication of marijuana use along with a few handbags, blankets, and liquor.
