    logo_NAWBOSedona AZ (December 15, 2015) – The Sedona Verde Valley Chapter of NAWBO will host a Mentoring Circle on Seocial Marketing Triage: Rescuing Your Brand from 4:30 – 7 p.m. on Monday January 18th at the Sedona Springs Resort, 55 Northview Rd. in West Sedona.

    In this mentoring circle we will discuss the priorities of social marketing for your brand and experiences we have all had in marketing, socially, online. Local Sedona business owners and Social Marketing specialists Pamela Ravenwood and Bonnie Sedan will kick off the conversation and answer questions relating to the seemingly overwhelming world of ‘Social’.

    This is an opportunity to learn and grow with professional women from throughout the Verde Valley on key business topics.

    After the mentoring circle, participants are invited to stay and network, grow relationships and build on what the have learned.

    The cost for the event is $5 for NAWBO members and $20 for non-members. Pre-registration is available at www.nawbosvv.org.

    City Council Weighs ATV Ban Ordinance Proposal

    The Sedona City Council at its May 23, 2023 meeting took no action on a proposed ordinance that would ban all off-road vehicles from being driven on state-owned public roads or streets owned by the city. The ordinance, spearheaded by Sedona Mayor Scott Jablow on the premise that such vehicles pose a risk to the health, safety and welfare of the community, would impose heavy fines to anyone driving the ATVs or OHVs on city streets, including S.R. 179 and S.R. 89A. ATV rental companies have admitted that such vehicles are not intended or designed to be driven on paved roads, yet, in Arizona, they are allowed to do so under Arizona Revised Statute 28-1174 (4B). Opponents against the ordinance argued at the meeting that if adopted the ban would cripple the ATV rental industry in Sedona and cause much hardship to the owners and employees, as it would effectively, as written, destroy their livelihood.
