Become a Community Coach With Yavapai Reentry Project
Yavapai Reentry Project is seeking committed individuals to volunteer as Community Coaches. In this role, you will support those transitioning back into society following incarceration, providing vital mentorship and guidance that creates a lasting impact. If you are eager to contribute to your community, this position offers a powerful way to get involved.
By becoming a Community Coach, you will offer one-on-one assistance, including emotional support, resource navigation, and referrals. No specific education, qualifications, or previous experience are required—only a genuine desire to help others. Participants will receive free training to prepare them for this rewarding volunteer opportunity.
This upcoming training session is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The class will be held at the MATFORCE/Yavapai Reentry Project office, located at 7749 E Florentine Rd, Prescott Valley. Registration is mandatory and limited to Yavapai County residents. Parenting the Love and Logic Way®
This virtual 6-week course will be held on Tuesdays, October 6, 13, 20, 27, November 3 and 10, 2026, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm and will be facilitated by Kelly Mattox.
The Love and Logic manner of parenting highlights the importance of a strong, loving connection between parents and children to encourage positive behavior and sound choices.
In this class, the facilitators will tackle common daily challenges faced by parents and caregivers. Strategies will be shared to help parents discipline children while preserving their love and respect, foster personal responsibility and effective decision-making in children, build lasting relationships, and reinforce positive behavior.
Registration for this free event is required, and the registration deadline is Friday, October 2, 2026.
