Of course, I love to share the extraordinary story. As one of its founding principles in 1971, Keep Sedona Beautiful (KSB) launched an organized plan to reduce roadside litter as an element of the overarching mission to preserve Sedona’s scenic beauty. It all started with group work events on many Saturdays.

Jerome AZ (August 16, 2016) – On August 11, 2016, just after 2 AM, YCSO deputies were dispatched to Mingus Mountain regarding a 60-year-old woman who was lost. She had been camping in the area with her boyfriend and wandered away after a verbal argument with him the prior afternoon. She contacted the dispatch center by cell phone and was frantic because her phone battery was fading and she was dealing with exposure from a monsoon storm that had just hit the area. She was wet, cold and also caring for 2 small dogs.
Flagstaff AZ (August 16, 2016) – A new deputy forest supervisor for the Coconino National Forest recently arrived, replacing Erick Walker who was temporarily filling in until the permanent position was filled.Robert Sanchez reported on Aug. 8 and is a 15-year career Forest Service employee who was previously the district ranger for the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in Ogden, Utah since 2014. Prior to his assignment on the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache, Sanchez was a district ranger on the Colville National Forest from 2012-2014.
Sedona AZ (August 16, 2016) – The city of Sedona is currently seeking to fill three positions on the Historic Preservation Commission, because three current members’ terms will be expiring. This voluntary body is made up of seven citizens appointed and established by City Council to promote and protect Sedona’s historic character and identity.
