Sedona AZ (February 22, 2017) – Forest Road 633 will be closed on Feb. 24-25, and March 3-4, for road repair and drainage improvements, which will affect access to a number of hiking trails from the Jim Thompson Trailhead location.Jim Thompson Trailhead will be temporarily closed during the road repairs, and people will not be able to access certain trails via that trailhead, which includes Jim Thompson Trail, Jordan Trail, Cibola Trail and Brins Mesa Trail.

Rimrock AZ (February 21, 2017) – On February 17, 2017, at approximately 4:15 PM, YCSO deputies were dispatched to a roll over vehicle collision on Forest Road 119 (Montezuma Well Road) about a mile off Forest Road 618, outside of Rimrock, Arizona. Callers indicated finding a Jeep vehicle down an embankment with a man lying on the ground nearby. They approached the man and he appeared deceased. When deputies arrived, personnel from the Lake Montezuma Fire Department were already on scene and confirmed the death.
