Flagstaff AZ (March 4, 2017) – Take your Time! Motorists using State Route 89A between Sedona and Flagstaff should allow extra travel time as work resumes on improvements between Vista Point Overlook and JW Powell Blvd intersection on Monday, March 6. State Route 89A will be reduced to one lane through the project work zone (milepost 390 – 398) weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The lane restriction begins Monday and continues weekly (except holidays) until fall. Flaggers and a pilot car escort will provide alternating travel through the work zone. Motorists should allow extra travel time.

There are 80 copies of “House of Apache Fires” available in the collection, and though most of them were checked out within the first two weeks, a few may remain on the shelf for the lucky ones who next walk in the door. Once all copies have been checked out, we’ll be filling holds as soon as copies are returned.

Rimrock AZ (March 2, 2017) – At approx. 630am on February 28, the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) received a call of a single vehicle attempting to cross Beaver Creek at Reay Road in Rimrock. The caller indicated the vehicle was beginning to float away and appeared to contain only the driver. A swiftwater team was called out and local fire units responded. The weather remained very stormy in the area and visibility was very poor. At about 7:15 AM, fire personnel located the vehicle almost completely submerged in the river some distance from the crossing.
Camp Verde AZ (March 2, 2017) – The Yavapai County Board of Supervisors, working with the Public Works Department, is pleased to announce a community cleanup in the Verde Valley.The cleanup will be at the Camp Verde Transfer Station, 2600 E. Hwy 260, 7 miles East of I-17.The cleanup will be open to Yavapai County residents for no charge on March 23rd, 24th, 25th, 30th, 31st & April 1st, 6th, 7th & 8th from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
