Ivan has been a member of the Verde Valley Matforce for 11 years and donates his time to educate the kids in our schools, churches, neighborhoods, juvenile detention centers, etc. on substance abuse and the impact it has on their lives.

Cottonwood AZ (March 9, 2017) – Verde Valley Fire District (VVFD) responded to 2 vehicle accidents on March 8, 2017. The first one involved an off road vehicle with one occupant at Western Dr. and Pleasant Valley Dr. The 50 year old male driver lost control of his quad and rolled it several times. He sustained head injuries requiring him to be flown to Flagstaff Medical Center. The driver was not wearing a helmet or any other protective gear.

Sedona AZ (March 8, 2017) – Sedona K-9 Officer Dalan, a Belgian Malinois, and his handler, Sgt. Stephanie Foley, are expected at the March 14 meeting of the Sedona City Council to hear a proclamation by the mayor. Mayor Sandy Moriarty and members of the council will acknowledge the end of Dalan’s seven years of service to the city as Foley moves fully into her police supervisory role and Dalan officially retires.
