Camp Verde AZ (January 3, 2018) – A special program entitled “Integrative Archaeology & Hidden Histories: Peru and Tiahuanaco in Bolivia” will be presented at the Camp Verde Community Library, in the Terra Cotta Room, 130 Black Bridge Road, Camp Verde, on Saturday, January 13, from 2 to 3 pm. Luminous Antonio, founder and C.E.O of the Integrative Archaeology Foundation, will explore new ways to discover hidden stories, customs, origins and deeper meanings beyond the material evidence of ancient civilizations and cultures. The talk is free and open to the public, but donations will be accepted.

Sedona AZ (January 3, 2018) – The Sedona Heritage Museum will host a coffee and orientation for anyone interested in knowing more about the museum on Thursday January 18 at 10:30 a.m. The Museum’s Volunteer Coordinator, Brandy Roberts, will discuss the varied volunteer opportunities that are ideal for anyone looking to expand their social footprint in the community. All potential volunteers will receive free admission to the museum, coffee and treats and an 11 a.m. special peer-to-peer docent-led tour of the museum and facilities. By Ted Grussing… I was sorely tempted to fly this afternoon when I went up to the airport, but the desire to not take a chance on screwing this thing up prevailed and instead, I removed the flight computer to send in to the factory for warranty work. This will insure I do not fly for at least the next ten days and by then I am quite sure I will be ready to go.
Prescott AZ (January 2, 2018) – The Women’s March on Prescott will take place on Sat., Jan. 20 at the Prescott Courthouse Plaza from noon-1:30pm. This is a non-partisan, peaceful march that supports the Women’s Marches in the United States and across the world.

Cottonwood AZ (December 30, 2017) – The Cottonwood Community Band will offer its first ever Preseason sessions beginning on Monday, January 8, at Cottonwood Middle School, room 301 from 7-9 PM. The Preseason is similar to baseball’s spring training. It’s a time for returning players to get back into shape after the holiday break, and an opportunity for new players interested in playing with the band to rediscover their instruments and ease back into making music.
Cottonwood AZ (December 29, 2017) – The Verde Valley Fire District Board of Directors accepted the resignation of Board Member Don Eberle at their regular meeting held December 19, 2017. Mr. Eberle’s tenure on the Board began December, 2014. He served two years as the Board Clerk and, most recently, served as the Board Chairman. Mr. Eberle’s letter of resignation states that he and his wife are moving out of state; therefore he must resign.
Camp Verde AZ (December 29, 2017) – The next Music in the Stacks, a free monthly concert series, will take place on Thursday, January 11th at 5:30 pm in Camp Verde Community Library’s Fireside Room. Music in the Stacks is a showcase of local and national musicians who entertain regularly in Northern Arizona. There are 5-7 different performers during the show, with a rotating variety each month.
Sedona AZ (December 29, 2017) – Cindy Rovey will offer a bread-baking workshop at the Sedona Heritage Museum on Monday, January 15th, at 11:00 a.m. Participants will learn how to make Whole Wheat bread. Attendance is limited, so call now to reserve your place. Bring an apron, mixing bowl, and large mixing spoon. At the end of the class, each person will take their bread home to bake, so you should plan your schedule accordingly. The fee is $5 per person. RSVP required.
Sedona AZ (December 29, 2017) – In preparation for their annual competitive grants processes, the Arizona Community Foundation of Sedona and the Arizona Community Foundation of Yavapai County invite representatives of local nonprofit organizations, public schools, municipalities and Tribal entities to attend one of four upcoming grant workshops in Prescott, Clarkdale, Camp Verde and Prescott Valley. Topics to be covered at the workshops include application instructions, eligibility requirements, guidelines and an overview of the online grants center and application process.
