… it’s here, another segment in the continuum of time we allocate as a year and a good one it shall be.

I was up at the airport on Saturday checking on Mariah and thinking about pulling her out and taking a flight at days end, and then I thought it might be best to give it a few more days rather than risk messing the beautiful job on the hip up … soon it will be happening, but three weeks just doesn’t seem like enough time. I was back in the car and getting ready to head back down the hill, when this Bombardier BD-100-1A10 came up the taxiway getting ready to depart the area … Looked in the side rearview mirror and knew I had to take the shot; a prime example of two way traffic at the airport … not a sight you get any other place. I had my S5 in my hand and took a few shots of it and all things considered it turned out pretty good. Once the Challenger was airborne the climb rate was amazing.

So we start the year by looking back a little and today we go forward … have a beautiful day.

    Cheers

A bird flies through the sky, and I fly with it. I am each pearl of moisture sparkling in the sun.
I lie lazy on the clouds. And I acknowledge my kinship with each winged thing.
I see all as one, and nothing repels me, as this new day climbs noiselessly out of the valley of the night.
Peace lies over the world and over the world of my soul.

    A Bad Moon Rising

    By Tommy Acosta
What the hell is going on? Is the fabric of society in the U.S. tearing apart at the seams? Watching those videos of teens gone wild, smashing windows, stealing from shopping centers, laughing while running over bicyclists — an omen of things to come? What can be done? Catch them? Incarcerate them. Put them in jails until they learn enough about crime to come out as skilled criminals? These kids, these young men and women of color, are growing wild in the streets. From fatherless homes, unable to properly read or write, a dismal and destitute future ahead of them. What is going to happen when they reach adulthood? The cops can’t stop them. There are simply too many. They can flash mob a phalanx of cops and just run berserk around them. What are the police to do? Shoot them? Read more→
