Cornville AZ (March 4, 2020) – On March 2, 2020, around 10:15 PM, deputies were dispatched to a weapons offense call in the 1400 block of South Chick Road, Cornville. Callers reported they could hear a man yelling and believed someone had been shot. Deputies were directed to an RV on the property where the disturbance was occurring and saw a male laying on the ground in front of the RV. Sedona AZ (March 4, 2020) – On March 16, 2020, city of Sedona contractor Tiffany Construction Company will begin the Thunder Mountain Drainage Improvements Project, which will begin with utility relocation work, followed by a drainage culvert installation.This project involves installing drainage pipes ranging in diameter from 36 to 60 inches along the south side of Thunder Mountain Road between Rhapsody Road and Andante Drive. City of Sedona has advanced to Innovator/Silver Sustainable Business Certification from the Sustainability Alliance.Sedona AZ (March 4, 2020) – City of Sedona has taken so many steps since 2017 (when they qualified as Conservationist/Bronze) they decided to take the assessment again, this time qualifying for Innovator/Silver. Staffing and planning were key to their success. They hired McKenzie Jones as Sustainability Coordinator, plus AmeriCorps VISTA member Kaileigh Walker. The City just completed a Municipal Sustainability Plan which includes targets for becoming zero waste and carbon neutral. They also conducted a municipal and community greenhouse gas inventory and identified areas for reduction.
Camp Verde AZ (March 4, 2020) – The next Music in the Stacks, a free monthly concert series, will take place on Thursday, March 12th at 5:30 pm in Camp Verde Community Library’s Fireside Room.
