Sedona AZ (July 22, 2020) – The Sedona Historical Society (SHS) and Sedona Heritage Museum recently received a grant from the Arizona State Historical Records Advisory Board (AHRAB) to catalog a portion of almost 10,000 historic photos that are scanned, but need to be cataloged for easy search and access.Prior to initiating their catalog system, SHS had thousands of historic photos scanned. Dewey AZ (July 22, 2020) – It’s day 22 and the final day of this running of Yavapai Silent Witness’ Catch 22 Program.  Today Yavapai County Law Enforcement Professionals are asking for your help in locating Richard Edward Vukelich.    On May 29, 2015 Yavapai County Sheriff Deputies responded to the area of Hopi Trail in Dewey in reference to a “shots fired” call.  Upon arrival, they learned Vukelich had been in a traffic collision in which he struck the victim’s vehicle as he was passing it. A Cell phone was a lifeline in both casesSedona AZ (July 21, 2020) – On July 18, 2020, around 10:45 PM, YCSO was contacted about a missing 16-year-old autistic male who had separated from his hiking companion and had not been seen since 7:30 PM. The missing teen was expected to return to a trail head in the Groom Creek area, but never showed. Deputies learned the teen had a phone, some water, food, and was wearing a head lamp. Cottonwood AZ (July 21, 2020) – It’s day 21 of Yavapai Silent Witness’ Catch 22 Program.  Today Yavapai County Law Enforcement is asking for your help in locating Jonathan Sterling Mansfield.Between September 9 and September 15, 2018 Mansfield stole a vehicle from UHAUL in Sedona.  On September 15, a Cottonwood Police Officer located the UHAUL pickup pulling a trailer in the area of Main Street and Cochise Street in Cottonwood.  The officer observed Mansfield, who was in the driver’s seat, hitting a female passenger in the head multiple times.  The officer initiated a traffic stop and Mansfield pulled the car…

Camp Verde AZ (July 21, 2020) – UPDATE – In the early afternoon hours of Thursday, July 16, 2020,  deputies from the Camp Verde Marshall’s Office located wanted burglary suspect, 28-year-old Maxwell Rodney Leslie, in the 200 block of Mechem Lane in Camp Verde.  After a foot pursuit, Leslie was taken into custody.  Leslie was then booked into the Yavapai County Jail on charges of Burglary, Auto Theft, and Criminal Damage.  He is being held on a $15,000 bond.

So one remained with our heron friend and provided nourishment for him and the other escaped to perhaps breed and produce replacements before becoming food himself. Bridgeport AZ (July 20, 2020) – It’s day 20 of Yavapai Silent Witness’ Catch 22 Program.  Today the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help in finding Oscar Omar Atienso-Cruz.   Atienso-Cruz has a Felony Warrant for Possession of dangerous drugs for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia.  On October 7th, 2004 Atienso-Cruz was stopped for operating a vehicle in Bridgeport, AZ with no tail lights.  The vehicle displayed indicators of criminal activity and a drug-detecting K9 was deployed and alerted to the presence of drugs.  As a result of the following search, methamphetamine was found on Atienso-Cruz’s person.
