Sedona Fire District Lifts Fire Ban Sedona, AZ – (July 24, 2011) – The Sedona Fire District (SFD) lifts the fire ban that was in effect for all portions of the fire district that was put into place May 23, 2011. This took effect Thursday, July 21, 2011. Recent rains along with higher humidity, increased fuel moistures and the forecast for continuing monsoon activity have lowered but not eliminated fire danger in the fire district. No APS Power Line Maintenance for 30 Years Flagstaff, AZ (July 20, 2011) – Arizona Public Service will be conducting inspections on the 69 KV transmission power line from Sedona High School through the Village of Oak Creek starting Aug. 1.
