    … as we drifted slowly towards this Kingfisher perched in a dead tree off shore, he took off with his breakfast and headed across the bay to another tree well inland from the shore so that we could not get close to him. This is without question the best shot of a Kingfisher that I have taken to date. They are relatively small compared with other predators I shoot and also far more skittish … tough to get anywhere close to them. We were probably 60 feet from him when he flew, but that is less than half the distance I usually am when on shore.

    Kingfishers do not nest in trees, but rather burrows close to shore.

    Garmin technical support said that the transducer cable which is an integral part of the transducer/depth and fish finder could not be repaired and I would have to buy a new one for $292.00 … in fairness to them, there are nine very small conductors in the water proof cable and all of them shielded … what the heck, I put a couple of new units in my Amazon shopping cart and went to work on the cable … after a couple of hours, I had the repairs done, tested the unit and everything works ..;. emptied my shopping cart, YAY!!!

    Down to the lake in not many hours so calling it a night. Have a beautiful day, smile and be a friend to someone today … everyone needs a  little or a lot of that every day. Keep breathing too and be a friend to yourself … donate your televisions to charity 🙂

    Cheers,

    The myriad stars shine nightly in the sky,
    The earth yields forth her budding brood in spring;
    All nature moves as by a hand unseen.
    And not one jot of all this can I change,
    Nor you, my mortal friend, whoe’er you are …
