Verde Valley AZ (October 14, 2016) – One full day (Sat, Oct 22nd) on, and along the Verde River in the shade of overhanging, fall turning Cottonwood trees. This discounted training opportunity is brought to you by The Verde River Valley Nature Organization (VRVNO), funded by our local ‘One for the Verde’ business liaison organization, and provisioned with help from your local South by SouthWest Adventure Tours, and American Canoe Association (ACA).
Join our ACA Certified Instructor Dylan Anderson of South by SouthWest Adventure Tours, and his experienced assistant instructor, along with our VRVNO safety trained volunteer paddle guides, and avid river runner Bob Rothrock – VRVNO Safe River Recreation coordinator, for a full day of on shore and on river experiential learning. A picnic ‘lunch n learn’ is provided with your $25 registration. Lower Tapco at Clarkdale, river access point (RAP), will be our on shore and on river training location on October 22nd, 2016. This year’s 2016/17 Safe River Recreation Grant from OFTV has allowed VRVNO to bring you 3 Introductory workshops and one special training in swift water rescue and river event management for their volunteer Safety Boaters.
