Sedona, AZ – The Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) of Sedona presents an illuminating program exploring the intersection of UFO phenomena, ancient visionary practices, and human consciousness. Paul and Laura Lee Robear, Directors of the Cuya Institute, bring more than 25 years of global teaching and research into altered‑state visionary experience.

The Robears will present a compelling blend of personal testimony and scientific inquiry, beginning with Laura’s close‑up UFO sighting—a remarkable event in which two accompanying witnesses perceived entirely different craft. This anomaly, they note, mirrors patterns found throughout consciousness studies and raises new questions about perception, multi‑dimensional reality, and the nature of contact experiences.

Drawing from historic accounts of spirit journeys, dream visitations, and their extensive work with Ritual Postures for Ecstatic Trance, Paul and Laura will explore how ancient cultures intentionally accessed visionary states to engage with non‑ordinary intelligence. Their research suggests that this capacity is innate to human biology, encoded in our DNA, and available to anyone willing to explore it.

As leaders of the Cuya Institute, the Robears oversee ongoing research initiatives, including testing at MIZZOU’s Cognitive Research Lab, statistical analysis of thousands of visionary reports from their international community, and presentations at academic conferences. Their media background includes hosting The Laura Lee Show, a nationally syndicated radio program, and producing documentary content for Talk Studio.

Sedona audiences can expect a thought‑provoking, integrative presentation that bridges archaeology, anthropology, consciousness studies, and contemporary UFO research—inviting the community to reconsider how humans have engaged “other dimensions” across time and culture.

Directors of the Cuya Institute, the non-profit educational research hub for the practice of Ritual Posture for Ecstatic Trance, Paul and Laura Lee teach this ancient technique for visionary journeying, which was revived for our times by their mentor, the late anthropologist Felicitas D. Goodman. They have taught this to thousands of people worldwide for over 25 years. Research projects include testing at MIZZOU’s Cognitive Research Lab, statistical analysis of the journeys of their international community, and papers and presentations for academic conferences. Their media career includes hosting The Laura Lee Show, a nationally syndicated terrestrial radio talk show, and video productions for Talk Studio.
