logo_inspirationofsedonaSedona AZ (March 13, 2016) – “You’re born into this and you’re here to love it and to see that it goes on,” author Joanna Macy’s soft voice delivers the heartfelt message of The Wisdom to Survive: Climate Change, Capitalism and Community.

The Inspiration of Sedona presents a free encore, premiere screening of Wisdom to Survive, at the Church of the Red Rocks, on Thursday, March 24th, at 6:30PM. The Arizona premiere of this film was shown at the Climate Care Awareness event series, (www.climatecareawareness.org), in December, and it is back by popular demand.

20160313_movieThe Wisdom to Survive accepts the consensus of scientists that climate change has already arrived, and asks, what is keeping us from action? The film explores how unlimited growth and greed are destroying the life support system of the planet, the social fabric of society, and the lives of billions of people. Will we have the wisdom to survive? The film features thought leaders and activists in the realms of science, economics and spirituality discussing how we can evolve and take action in the face of climate disruption. They provide insights, answers, and hope. What becomes clear is, we already have the tools we need to change our economy and lifestyle. Our attention must focus on taking action and building community. They urge us to open ourselves to the beauty that surrounds us and get to work on ensuring it thrives.

Among those featured are Bill McKibben (350.org), Joanna Macy, Roberto Nutlouis, Roger Payne, Richard Heinberg, Amy Seidl, Stephanie Kaza, Gus Speth, Jihan Gearon, Nikki Cooley, and Ben Falk.

If you want to gain the “Wisdom to Survive,” please join the Inspiration of Sedona in watching this free film on March 24th, at 6:30PM at the Church of the Red Rocks, 54 Bowstring Drive, Sedona.

The Inspiration of Sedona meets in the basement at the Church of the Red Rocks. Turn Right into the church parking lot and then turn right again at the first driveway, and park in the small parking lot opposite the double doors to the basement, or in the upper parking lot if full.
