    Forest Service begins hiring for summer seasonal jobs

    logo_USFS_USDAFlagstaff AZ (January 5, 2016) – The Forest Service has begun hiring for summer seasonal temporary jobs in several programs, which means approximately 150 temporary positions will be filled on the Coconino National Forest over the next several months.

    All open positions in the Forest Service can be found at www.usajobs.gov. Temporary positions on the Coconino National Forest can be found by typing “Temp” into the Keyword section and one of the following in the Location section of the search page:

    • Flagstaff, Arizona
    • Happy Jack, Arizona
    • Sedona, Arizona

    Applications can be submitted any time a position is open, and it is recommended that applications be submitted as soon as possible once the announcement is posted. Applicants are encouraged to check listings frequently and apply for multiple locations on the forest they are interested in working.

    Forest Service representatives will notify selected applicants by phone. Reporting dates will be negotiated by the supervisor and selected applicants will be contacted by Human Resource Management with confirmation.

    For veterans, a copy of the DD-214 is required. If disabled and applying for special consideration under certain disability programs, proof of disability is also required.
