Sedona AZ (November 21, 2015) – Eforea Spa and Sedona Athletic Club, both located at Hilton Sedona Resort at Bell Rock in the Village of Oak Creek, is hosting a very special drive this holiday season for local senior citizens: Socks for Seniors. The nonprofit, community-service project originated 15 years ago in Columbus, Ohio. This year, more than 600 cities nationwide will participate in the program. Socks for Seniors organizes, collects and distributes new socks for local senior communities.

The Sedona drive begins Nov. 23 and runs through Dec. 14. All socks will be donated to the nonprofit Verde Valley Caregivers Coalition and to the long-term-care residents at Kachina Pointe Rehabilitation Hospital. Organizers encourage donors to be creative and purchase fun, colorful, themed socks. Just because you are a senior citizen doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with your wardrobe! Purchase socks locally and support the Sedona economy. Hilton Sedona Resort at Bell Rock is located at 90 Ridge Trail Drive in the Village of Oak Creek. For more details, visit www.socksforseniors.com or www.eforeaspasedona.com . You can also call 928-284-6900. Happy holidays!

    Ode to Sleeplessness

    By Amaya Gayle Gregory

I sleep well most nights. This is something relatively new for me. For many years, I was a raging insomniac. I didn’t sleep well last night and found myself meditating around 4am, not so much to get to sleep but for something to pass the time.
