Sedona Main Street ProgramSedona AZ (June 25, 2015) – “Arizona’s Own” 108th Army Band, Arizona Army National Guard, will perform on Friday, July 3rd from 11:30 – 1:00 at Canyon Breeze Plaza, 300 N. State Route 89A in Uptown. It is free to attend. The theme of their complementary performance is patriotic in nature. Much of their repertoire consists of marches and patriotic songs, both traditional (e.g. “God Bless America”, “America the Beautiful”) and contemporary (e.g. “Proud To Be An American” by Lee Greenwood, “American Soldier” by Toby Keith).

logo_108thArmyBandThe 108th Army Band is a 30 piece musical group brought together by their love of music and their desire to serve their country. They perform a mixture of the traditional and the contemporary, from the thrill of a rousing military march to the lilt of folk tunes or to the driving beat of today’s rock. Citizen Soldiers within Arizona’s Army National Guard and based at the Papago Park Military Reservation in Phoenix,  they hold full-time professions as musicians, teachers, students, computer programmers, prison guards, small business owners, and construction and postal service workers. In addition to its traditional concert and ceremonial band instrumentation, members of the band also perform regularly in smaller popular, jazz, rock, worship, Dixieland, brass and woodwind ensembles.

    Whack – A – Mole War

It looks like the tried-and-true method of armed conflict where armies face each other and kill until somebody wins or gives up, now all it takes is assassinating the leadership Israeli style. We enter a new phase of war where the leaders are killed first rather than last as in conventional warfare.
