Festival partners with Basecamp and Sedona Beer Company for outdoor film experience
Sedona, AZ — It’s “Big Screen at Basecamp” as the Sedona International Film Festival partners with Sedona Beer Company for its “Movies on the Move” cinema under the stars outdoor film experience at Basecamp in West Sedona — every Thursday in the summer season!
Join us on Thursday, June 19 as we present “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” at Basecamp/Sedona Beer Company at dusk.
Mere seconds before the Earth is to be demolished by an alien construction crew, journeyman Arthur Dent is swept off the planet by his friend Ford Prefect, a researcher penning a new edition of “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.”
Arthur Dent (Martin Freeman) is trying to prevent his house from being bulldozed when his friend Ford Prefect (Mos Def) whisks him into outer space. It turns out Ford is an alien who has just saved Arthur from Earth’s total annihilation. Ford introduces Arthur to his myriad friends, including many-headed President Zaphod Beeblebrox (Sam Rockwell) and sexy refugee Trillian (Zooey Deschanel). Arthur makes his way across the stars while seeking the meaning of life, or something close to it.
Enjoy the comfort of the Basecamp patio or bring your lawn chairs and your family and friends and enjoy “Cinema Under the Stars” with the festival’s giant outdoor screen with state-of-the-art projection and sound!
Basecamp will offer a selection of craft beers, food and beverages (and a special menu item themed to each film), with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Sedona International Film Festival.
“The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” will be shown outdoors at Basecamp Sedona Beer Company (70 Dry Creek Road) on Thursday, June 19 at dusk. Seating will begin at 7 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs. Parking is free and available at Basecamp and the Sedona Public Library.
Tickets are only $10 each, and kids 12 and under are free of charge.

Movie and beer? Sounds like European style pictures. Should be a fun time if the no see ems aren’t out in force.
