… gone! About a tenth of a second before I took this shot a coot who was diving for food left the surface and his feet had just disappeared from view leaving this beautiful reminder of his presence. The gentle waves gave alternating reflections of the shore and the sky and the reflections of the splash are near perfect. One of those very temporary images that but for a camera and a fast lens would never be seen, even if you were there watching it happen.

Shot with a Canon 1D-X, EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM lens, shot info 1/5000th , f/5.6, ISO 800, 400mm, manual exposure, center weighted metering, auto white balance. Time of day was 4:38PM on January 12th 2018 … about an hour before sunset.
Another nice day and spent much of it with a book … trying to feel comfortable with the idea of taking time during the day for it … kinda succeeding … almost!
Time to wrap the day, have a beautiful day and make others glad to be around you … smile!
Cheers
Ted
So each one to his wish, and as for me,
I sit tonight and wait
To find the answers to my soul in me,
And in the beauty of the sky and sea.
