… after trying no less than 10 photos with and without compositing I give up … actually it is not horrible and brings some of the wisdom of the ages as seen through the eyes of One (so she told me), and with a little assist from me. The background is a blend of the natural heavenly bamboo shrub background and a photo a good friend took of the Rosette Nebula in honor of Corky a couple of days after she passed … thanks Tom, love the image.

Today was largely spent cleaning carpets and trying to feel better from some bug I picked up last week. I like doing the carpets as it is kind of a mindless activity and you get to see the results quickly … a good way to heal and you forget that you feel like excrement.  Finished watching Gladiator on Amazon Prime again tonight; for whatever reason I like it and the good guys prevail. Any comparison to the real life practice of law is purely coincidental, nevertheless a great tale.

More healing and more carpet cleaning on tap for tomorrow … maybe a late afternoon flight if I do a good job with the other tasks … mostly the healing one.

Have a terrific day and keep breathing, smile and share your joy with others … nice way to make a difference.

    Cheers

    Ted

The Sad Lesson of Tyre Nichols
    By Tommy Acosta
Having grown up in the mean streets of the Bronx there is one lesson we learn early on, and that’s don’t mess with the cops when they got you down, and outnumbered. The beating of Tyre Nichols at the hands of the police preceding his death at the hospital could have been avoided if only he had the sense to not resist them. People fail to understand that on the streets, cops are basically “God.” You can’t fight them. If it takes one, two, five, ten or twenty officers they will eventually put you down and hurt you if they have to in the process of detaining or arresting you. In the Bronx we would fight amongst ourselves but when the cops came it was “Yes, officer. No, officer,” and do our best to look as innocent as possible. People need to understand that cops on the street represent the full power of the state and government. Read more→
