Clarkdale AZ (April 11, 2019) – On Tuesday, April 9, Michael Linder of the Clarkdale Historical Society and Museum Strategic Planning Team presented the Five Year Plan to the Clarkdale Town Council during its regular meeting. Over the last four months the plan was designed and produced to ensure the sustainability of the organization. Eight members on the planning team were led by professional consultant Marshall Whitmire. 

Cottonwood AZ (April 11, 2019) – An Earth Day March and Rally will meet at the Baseball Field parking lot in Riverfront Park at 11 AM. A 1.2 mile walk from the park will proceed along Main Street to the Verde Valley Montessori School, where the Earth Day rally will take place.There will be two speakers at the Rally. Verde Valley AZ (April 11, 2019) – Prescription drug abuse has its grips on our nation in epidemic proportions. Last year in Arizona over 1000 people died from an opioid overdose, with prescription pain relievers being a driving force.MATFORCE and area law enforcement hope everyone will help stop this abuse by bringing unwanted medication to Dump the Drugs on Saturday, April 27. The luncheon honors and thanks the many people who volunteered with the city throughout the year to improve programs and processes, and provide service to the community.

By Ted Grussing… beautiful day in northern Arizona … the snow pack is melting and Rogers Lake has water in it, but not for long. Spring is here and then summer … much nice up on the plateau than down in Sedona which in turn is better than Phoenix.
