Cottonwood AZ (June 14, 2018) – On 6-13-18 at about 13:30 Hrs. Verde Valley Fire District units were dispatched to the area of Hwy 89A at Mile Post 360 for a report of a Vehicle Fire. While units were responding, they were advised of the vehicle fire was spreading into the Brush and grass nearby. On arrival of the first engine, they found a VW van fully involved with fire extending into the brush on the east side of the highway and into the median of the highway.
Sedona AZ (June 14, 2018) – The Sedona Parks and Recreation Department invites you to the fabulous, free 4th of July Wet Fest 2018, noon to 4 p.m. at the Sedona Community Pool, 570 Posse Ground Rd. This water event takes place both inside the Sedona Community Pool enclosure as well as the surrounding outside area. There will be inflatable water slides in addition to the Community Pool slide. I was at 11,931’ so about 700’ below the peak … I like the perspective from below and pretty well tucked into the mountain. You can see the trail to Humphreys Peak just a bit below the ridgeline on the right side of the image. On the left side of the image you can see some more volcanic cones and in the distance you can kinda make out the North Rim…

His concentration is total and hi right leg is just beginning the initial push, wings are coming out and they will be doing the assist propelling it into flight. Fun stuff.
Cottonwood AZ (June 12, 2018) – The Verde Valley Fire District responded to a report of a structure fire on the 300 block of Rancho Vista Way on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at approximately 10:00pm. The crews arrived to an attic fire venting from the north side of the structure.

Cottonwood AZ (June 12, 2018) – On June 9, 2018, at approximately 2:30 AM, driver John McGraw, 40 from Cottonwood, was stopped near the intersection of Arcosanti Road and Stagecoach, in Cordes Lakes, for a traffic violation. The deputy had seen the vehicle acting suspiciously just prior to the traffic stop. McGraw was driving on a suspended license and showed indications of impairment. He consented to a series of Field Sobriety Tests (FSTs) which confirmed impairment. McGraw was arrested for DUI Drugs.
